Eligibility
Before registering to take the Licensing exam for the first time, applicants must submit the Application for Real Estate License Examination. The Commission will review this application as well as your background check, to determine your eligibility. The application fee is $50, the Arkansas background check is $20, and the FBI background check is $25. All applicants must receive a Certificate of Examination Eligibility before they can register to take the exam.
Requirements
Salesperson
1 Be 18 years old, or older
2 Have successfully completed 60 hours of real estate education, where 30 hours are in the basic principles of real estate. These classes must be taken at an accredited school such as the Real Estate Education Center.
3 Pass the licensing exam
4 Submit the forms and fees to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission (these forms will be given to you upon passing the exam) no later than 90 days after passing the exam.
Broker
1 Be 18 years old, or older.
2 Have successfully completed, within the 36 months before applying for the exam, 60 hours of real estate principles, license law, and Commission regulations. These classes must be taken at an accredited school such as the Real Estate Education Center.
3 Have been a licensed, active salesperson for no less than 24 months within the last 48 months before applying. (This may be waived upon written request if you have had your real estate license for less than 18 months.)
4 Pass the license exam.
5 Submit the forms and fees to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission (these forms will be given to you upon passing the exam) no later than 90 days after passing the exam.
Those who are currently licensed in another state who passed their original exam with a score of 70 or higher may request a waiver of the general licensing portion of the exam.
Post-Licensure Requirement
A post licensure course must be completed within 1 year of initial licensure to remain active. This course is offered by the Real Estate Education Center.

Once you have received your Certificate of Examination Eligibility, you may register for the exam. You must have a reservation, walk-ins are not allowed.

The fee of $75 must be paid at the time of reservation. It can be paid by credit card, debit card or check over the phone. (have the check with you if you choose to pay by check)
Cancellations
Cancellations must be made at least 4 days before the test date. If you cancel after this deadline, you forfeit your exam fee. An absence or lateness can only be excused for

Show up for your exam 30 minutes before your exam to register in plenty of time. After check-in, you will be given time to take a small tutorial on the PC you will be using to take the exam. This does not take away from the time you have to take the exam. You have 4 hours to take the exam. After that time has ended, or upon completion of the exam, you will receive yo
